This learning community will be facilitated by Michigan State University Center for Community Engaged Learning staff who coordinate an annual Community Engaged Learning Index (CELI). The CELI is a powerful tool that not only tracks and evaluates community engaged learning activities across campus but also amplifies their positive impact. It was created to meet the university’s need to track data on community-engaged learning classroom and beyond activities. Its goal is to highlight and maximize the value of community-engaged learning efforts by Michigan State University students, faculty, staff, and community partners, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and underscoring the social contributions of the University’s community.

Join colleagues in a cross-institutional, collaborative space focused on strengthening the ways we collect, interpret, and share data related to community-engaged learning. Together, we will explore strategies for translating outcomes into robust stories that demonstrate our collective dedication to social responsibility and civic engagement. By advancing shared practices, this group aims to position data as a vital tool for cultivating long-term partnerships, ensuring accountability, and reinforcing the essential role of higher education in advancing the public good.
