About this Community:

How is your campus preparing for country’s 250th? Join MadeByUs and Campus Compact members to discuss your plans and share ideas. Made By Us, a nationwide network of museums and cultural institutions, has developed research-backed resources to help institutions better understand and engage young adults ages 18–30. Through their Youth250 initiative, colleges and universities can access actionable tools like their Youth250 Bureau and Toolkit to connect with Gen Z, co-create programming, and cultivate lasting relationships with students and community members.

In preparation, the Made by Us Youth Bureau team has put together a one-pager that outlines the various ways higher education institutions can use their toolkits and resources. Using this toolkit and ideas from the field, we will support each other as we prepare for the 250th!

What does this mean? This virtual event will be more interactive in nature, and participation is encouraged!

  • You are invited to have your camera on in order to engage with the speakers and other participants
  • You can openly ask questions by unmuting yourself or typing them in the chat
  • There may be interactive components to this event, such as taking a poll, Q&A, or small group discussion
