Dr. G. Duncan Harris retired in 2025 after 30 years in Connecticut higher education, most recently as CEO of the Capital Campus of Connecticut State Community College (2018–2025), where 74% of students are Black or Hispanic. He secured Title V and Strengthening Community College grants, restored the manufacturing program after a 20-year hiatus, and built workforce partnerships with Accenture, Pursuit Aerospace, and Eversource. An expert in student success, retention, and college-community partnerships, he serves on the boards of the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation and Windsor Federal Bank, and UConn's CLAS advisory board. He holds an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University.
 

Shalom Staub, Ph.D., is a consultant and facilitator with a 44-year career spanning higher education, government, and the nonprofit sector, focused on catalyzing organizational change. He recently completed 8 years as Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of UCLA's Center for Community Engagement, where he built the university's community-engagement infrastructure and co-led its 2026 Carnegie Community Engagement (re)Classification. Previously, as Associate Provost at Dickinson College, he launched its service-learning curriculum and led the effort that earned Dickinson its first Carnegie Classification in 2020. He holds a Ph.D. in Folklore and Folklife from the University of Pennsylvania.
 

Stefani Weeden-Smith brings 20 years of experience as a community engagement strategist across nonprofits, higher education, and community organizations. She recently directed the St. Louis Anchor Action Network, building a coalition of anchor institutions investing in disinvested areas of the region, and now consults with higher education institutions on community engagement and economic mobility strategy. As assistant director at Washington University's Gephardt Institute, she expanded partnerships with 50+ nonprofit and civic organizations. A Pratt Institute graduate, she is a 2024 St. Louis Business Journal Diversity Award recipient and the 2026 Anchor Fellow for the Anchor Initiatives Task Force. She earned her Master of Professional Services at the Pratt Institute.
 

Alexis serves as the Project Director, Campus Action Planning (CAP). She collaborates with CAP Fellows and Coaches to support campuses and develop CAPs that address the needs and contexts of the communities in which campuses are located. She also supports the Chief Engagement Officer learning community.

Alexis has been a part of community engagement in higher education and non-profit for over twenty-five years, providing her with a rich set of experiences that inform her work on CAP. Alexis has worked at a variety of institutional types including Research, Liberal Arts, and Regional Comprehensive. She led the Utah affiliate of Campus Compact for six years, worked as a Senior Network Director for the Promise Partnership at United Way of Salt Lake, and most recently served as the Executive Director, Community Engagement at Weber State University.

A practitioner-scholar in community engagement, her Doctoral capstone focused on Instructor Practice in Critical Service-Learning. She earned a B.S. in Management from the University of Utah, an M.A. Counseling in Student Affairs from UCLA. and her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy also from Utah.
