This workshop introduces the CAP framework and the broad areas it covers — how institutional culture, community partnerships, and campus constituencies come together to sustain engagement and advance civic impact. Participants begin by examining their institution's own values and how engagement fits into its identity, then move into peer discussion to consider the other CAP domains. The session also introduces a self-assessment approach that helps teams see where they stand and where there's room to grow, including naming and addressing past community harm.
