All invited HEDx Convening (out of town) attendees will be staying at the Kimpton Forum Hotel, in rooms provided gratis as part of your participation. Alisa Jimenez, HEDx Project Manager, will reserve your room after your registration is completed. The hotel will send a confirmation email confirming your stay and your check in/out dates (for most people this is from October 14-17, with few exceptions to accommodate travel schedules). Please note, upon check in all guests must provide a credit card in the case of incidental charges.
Where are the sessions taking place in the hotel?
All HEDx sessions will occur onsite at the Kimpton Hotel, in their conference rooms. A detailed agenda including conference room information will be provided closer to the date.
How do I register the public Democracy360 events?
There is a separate registration for all public D360 events, we highly encourage you to review and sign up for the events you wish to attend as soon as possible. The events and registration information maybe found here:https://karshinstitute.virginia.edu/d360/2025/events
If I want to attend the public Democracy360 events, how do I get there?
For the public evening events on Wednesday and Thursday, there will be a shuttle provided for HEDx Session attendees. It will provide transportation from the hotel to the downtown Charlottesville event location, and a return trip from the event location back to the hotel. Attendees are not required to use this shuttle, but it is encouraged as RideShare/Driving to and from during start and end times will likely be met with traffic.
