The Higher Education Democracy Exchange launches July 29. Be in the room when HEDEX goes live!

HEDEX is an online platform designed to connect and support democracy-focused work across higher education. HEDEX was developed and is led by Campus Compact and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), in partnership with More Perfect and UVA’s Karsh Institute, built with input from field leadership. Higher education has always played a role in preparing students to participate in democratic life and strengthen communities through civic and public engagement. Across institutions, faculty, students, administrators, and community partners are advancing important work, often with limited opportunities to connect efforts across institutions and sectors.

HEDEX is designed to help the people doing this work connect, share best practices and resources, and strengthen collaboration across institutions and communities. It provides the infrastructure for the field and aims to bring together people, resources, and practices advancing democratic engagement across campuses, disciplines, communities, and regions, creating opportunities to share knowledge, build connections, and strengthen civic engagement efforts.

On July 29, we'll introduce the platform and share how you can be part of it.

What you'll experience

  • Remarks from HEDEX Founders
  • A live walkthrough of the platform
  • Voices from the field
