Abby Honaker Schroeder began her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA through Ohio Campus Compact, stationed at the University of Mount Union. Since then, she has served as the Assistant Director and now Director of the Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement at Mount Union. Schroeder has served on multiple boards including the Alliance Community Pantry, the Alliance Farmer's Market, the Alliance Family YMCA and Safe Kids Stark County. She was a member of the 20 Under 40! class of 2014 and has been a recipient of the Mount Union Young Alumni Award. Schroeder has a degree in English: Writing from the University of Mount Union and a Master's of Public Administration from Cleveland Stat University. She also holds a certificate in Non-profit Management from Cleveland State. Schroeder resides in Alliance, Ohio with her husband and daughter.
