Shelly McCormick-Lane is a Latin and Classics educator with nearly 30 years of experience. She holds an A.B. in Classics from Washington University in St. Louis, an Ed.M. in Teaching and Curriculum in the Classical Humanities from Harvard University, and is ABD for an Ed.D. in Teaching and Curriculum at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. A member of the American Classical League’s DEIB Committee and the 2016 Texas Latin Teacher of the Year, she currently teaches at Whitcomb Middle School, a Title I school in Marlborough, MA, where she is committed to making Latin accessible to all students.
