Ray Shiu has served as Deputy Director of the Center for Social Justice (CSJ) since January 2020, managing staff- and student-led community engagement, student development, outreach, and operations. Since joining CSJ in 2004, he previously held roles as Special Programs Coordinator, Program Director, and Associate Director.

A first-generation college graduate from Modesto, CA, Ray holds a BS in Genetics from UC Davis and an MA in Higher Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. He previously worked at Columbia Business School and currently serves on the boards of Friendship Place and Georgetown Ministry Center, supporting unhoused communities.
