This roundtable will explore the MSUvote Campus and Community Initiative at Michigan State University, which partners with both on- and off-campus organizations to enhance student voter education, registration, and turnout. Facilitators will share key insights on leadership, funding, challenges, and successes, while examining the broader role campuses play in fostering democratic engagement. The session will focus on the relationships, resources, and strategies needed to prepare students to participate fully in the electoral process, including understanding candidates and ballot proposals as first-time voters. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their own campus models, experiences, and challenges. Together, the group will explore effective approaches, national benchmarking, and innovative strategies for future campus-based democratic efforts.
