Sahmie S. Wytewa is a community raised and inspired member of the Hopi tribe, Piikyasngyam from the village of Misongnovi. Ms. Wytewa is the Tribal Liaison for the University of San Diego’s Office of the Tribal Liaison within the Center for Inclusion and Diversity. Ms. Wytewa considers herself a lifetime learner & educator with a passion to serve and support unique populations in both urban and rural settings. As an educational leader, tribal liaison and consultant-facilitator, she acknowledges opportunities to listen and work collaboratively with stakeholder groups as the first step in engaging in true relationships that create meaningful partnerships and build capacity for sustainable community-led efforts.
