Cassie Bingham has a bachelor's degree in Sociocultural Anthropology and International Development and a master's degree in Sociology. Her career in social impact started on the development team of a Salt Lake City nonprofit serving Hispanic/Latin immigrants. She went on to lead a disaster relief team at Moria Refugee Camp in Greece and to freelancing as a social entrepreneur in collaboration with East African artisans while developing ethical tourism initiatives in Uganda. Cassie is currently the Director at the UVU Center for Social Impact (CSI), where she has led out on the development of an integrated social impact strategy using methodologies like systems thinking and equity-centered design. She oversees the CSI's student Impact Fellows, is a thought leader for the CSI SIMLab (Social Impact Metrics Lab), mentors UVU's Oxford Map the System student research teams, and created the UVU Design for Impact research and pitch competition. Cassie is also an adjunct faculty member at UVU, teaching two courses she developed: Systems Thinking for Macro Social Work Practice and Evolutions of Justice: Human Attempts to Repair Harm. Outside of her work in higher education, Cassie is a freelance relational systems trainer and consultant and an impact strategist for Storyroot, a corporate sustainability and impact consulting studio.
