Taryn Oakley has been teaching environmental science at Portland Community College since 2008 and has served as a Community-Based Learning Faculty Coordinator since 2020. She is passionate about the impact that community-based learning can have, both for students and for the local community. Taryn is dedicated to engaging students in projects that work towards environmental and social justice, equity, and community resilience.
