Naomi Fertman (MPH, MSW) is both an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Women’s and Gender Studies and the Community Outreach Specialist for the Center for Community Engagement at the University of Texas at El Paso. She is also the co-founder of El Jardin Birth and Family Resource Center. Her current research focuses on the differentiated ways that students, in particular students who are parents or caregivers, access and are impacted by community-engaged work.
