During this knowledge-to-action workshop, global civic engagement institutional and network leaders will come together to engage with attendees around opportunities and pathways for working together to advance the democratic purposes and social responsibility of higher education. Through the sharing of global and regional perspectives and local engagement, attendees will gain an understanding of how civic engagement and service learning are organized and implemented across the globe. Attendees will have an opportunity to directly engage and contribute to building new pathways for U.S. and global partnerships both through individual institutions, professional communities, and global networks like the Global Cooperation for the Democratic Mission of Higher Education and The University Social Responsibility Network.
