Description

Most of the survey instruments in our field are focused on student learning, faculty teaching and scholarship, and community partnerships. There are a couple that collect data about the infrastructure of community and civic engagement on campuses, but they gather narrative rather than quantitative data on key topics and reflect a relatively small number of campuses, with participating campuses likely to skew toward those with greater infrastructure for community engagement and more centralized support. With this in mind, Campus Compact is (re)designing a survey intended to reach a broad swath of campuses including those with distributed, jointly managed, and centralized community and civic engagement infrastructure. What information should this survey capture in order to accurately portray the changing landscape of community and civic engagement infrastructure on American campuses? Join Campus Compact Field Data Fellow Sinda Nichols for this roundtable session, which will be structured as a focus group
