Dr. Patty Robinson has worked at College of the Canyons for 26 years and has served in various roles, including Sociology Professor, Chair, Sociology Department, and Dean, Social Sciences and Business Division. She left administration to return to her “sociological roots” and to frame the position of Faculty Director, Civic and Community Engagement Initiatives by leading the College’s campus-wide work on civic learning and democratic engagement. Patty received her Ph.D. in sociology from UC Davis.
