More about the Newman Civic Fellowship:

The Newman Civic Fellowship, named in honor of Frank Newman, one of Campus Compact's founders, recognizes and supports community-committed students who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities throughout the country.

The Newman Civic Fellowship is a year-long program that recognizes and supports student public problem solvers at Campus Compact member institutions.

Fellows are nominated by their president or chancellor based on their potential for public leadership and their work with communities. Throughout the fellowship year, Campus Compact provides students with opportunities to nurture their assets and help them develop strategies for social change—creating a network of connected and engaged student leaders who can support one another in making a positive difference.

Fellows receive opportunities like a national in-person convening with 150+ other Newman Fellows, bi-weekly leadership and networking sessions, the chance to apply and receive up to $1,500 in mini-grant funding for social impact projects, exclusive access to online platforms and communication channels, and extensive access to special undergraduate and post-graduate opportunities from our national partners.
