Speaker Bio
I am passionate about helping underserved communities and have worked with trans youth, advocated for gender neutral bathrooms on my campus, fought for vegan food options in our cafeteria, and helped to get recognition for academic excellence for our part-time students. I always start by finding and reaching out to those who can assist me in making change. I gather like-minded peers together to develop exactly what we want achieved, what steps we need to take to achieve it, and reach out to those in power who can help us achieve our goals. I also enjoy supporting my fellow peers in their social endeavors. I feel as though I am a good person to ask about how to make change happen on the campus because I have been involved in so much of it. Although I am told I am stubborn, I am always open to constructive criticism and feedback and willing to listen to opposing arguments. I am very excited to be given this amazing opportunity!
