Dr. Martha Parrott is the Assistant Dean for the College of Science and Health Professions and Professor of Mathematics at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma where she teaches undergraduate and graduate mathematics and math education courses. Dr. Parrott also serves as the chair of the M. Ed. Mathematics Education graduate program; she is the university coordinator of the Oklahoma Elementary Math Specialist program and directs the NSU Mathematics Clinic, an outreach initiative to serve the community. Dr. Parrott is a DaVinci Fellow, an especially prestigious teaching award in higher education which recognizes her creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning. In March 2019, Dr. Parrott was honored as a Woman in STEM for her STEM education contributions in the greater Tulsa area. In addition to her many honors and awards, Dr. Parrott presents nationally and publishes in the field of mathematics education and service learning.
