Elena Foulis (PhD) is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M, San Antonio, and Director of the Spanish Language Studies program. She has been directing the oral history project, Oral Narratives of Latin@s in Ohio (ONLO) since 2014. Foulis’s research explores Latina/o/e voices through oral history and performance, identity and place, ethnography, and family history. Foulis has two books under production: Working en comunidad: Service-Learning and Community Engagement with U.S. Latinas/os/es with the University of Arizona Press coming out in Fall 2024, and Historias de la comunidad: Bilingual Oral History Archives of Latine/x Experiences, with Ohio State University Press, for 2025.
