Dr. Selena Kohel is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Cottey College. She received her B.A. in psychology and piano performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her M.A. in student personnel administration in higher education from New York University, and her Ph.D. in interdisciplinary studies, with concentrations in counseling psychology and social psychology, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Integrated throughout her work is an emphasis on identity, particularly social identity and cultural identity, and her work manifests, in part, as a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. Dr. Kohel also currently serves as one of the facilitators for Campus Compact’s Fusion Course.
