Jane E. Turk currently serves as Director of Member Engagement and Minnesota Operations at Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact, supporting member colleges and universities as they fulfill the public purpose that is at the heart of higher education. In her previous role as an educational developer, Jane facilitated webinars, workshops, reading groups, and communities of practice on a range of topics including designing high-impact and community-engaged courses and learning experiences; building capacity for reflective and engaging dialogue; understanding and confronting power, privilege, and identity in classroom environments; creating effective and inclusive online courses; and developing focused course-based and program-level assessment strategies. She has held teaching positions at Hunter College (CUNY), Marymount Manhattan College, Lake Forest College, DePaul University, Normandale Community College, and Hamline University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Media Studies and Humanities & Cultural Studies from Macalester College, a Master of Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Communications from Columbia University in the City of New York, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Hamline University's Doctorate in Education program.
