Sara Shuman is an Assistant Professor of Public Health at La Salle University and a part of Campus Compact's Engaged Scholar Initiative.
Dr. Shuman’s research focuses primarily on immigrant health and gender-based violence. She is especially interested in mixed-methods research and works in Philadelphia and globally. She is also involved in the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program and has co-taught several classes in the Philadelphia Prisons Department.
