Dr. Jamilah Ducar is the assistant vice chancellor of The Engaged Campus at the University of Pittsburgh where she leads efforts that advance Pitt’s capacity to be a visible and responsive collaborator within its local communities. She is the only community engagement professional at this time to have earned the full suite of Campus Compact’s micro credentials. Jamilah regularly presents and publishes on the intersections of hyperlocal engagement, engaged culture stewardship, and engagement architecture. Jamilah’s doctoral dissertation explored organizational development for an engaged campus, informed by the experiences of community engagement professionals at an urban, state-related research university.
