Lisa Lawrason, PhD, is a professor of political science at Delta College. Both inside and outside the classroom, she devotes her efforts to politically empowering community college students, inviting them to engage in the civic lives of their community and providing opportunities to do so. As the co-campus coordinator of The Democracy Commitment, her efforts have defined Delta College as a national leader in civic learning. She received the Michigan Campus Compact biennial award honoring faculty contributions in service learning and community service, as well as The Democracy Commitment's Daniel M. Asquino.

Dr. Kimberly Klein is a Professor of Political Science at Delta College with extensive experience in engaging students in civic action. She serves as co-chair of Delta’s involvement in The Democracy Commitment initiative. This program hosts numerous local events, resulting in students becoming active creators of their environment. She received the Michigan Campus Compact biennial award honoring faculty contributions in service learning and community service. Klein earned her doctorate degree from the Ferris State University DCCL program in 2013.
