Description
Do you want to welcome your students’ most authentic selves? Do you want students to understand how your service-learning course content will be important to their lives? Or, do you want to share how you are dedicated to helping students become stronger learners? Then, bring a copy of your SL course syllabus and prepare to be inspired! Working in pairs and small groups, participants will apply session content to their own syllabi. They will have the opportunity to focus on centering syllabi within the student experience; deepen their understanding of the traditional components of exemplary service learning alongside equity-based practices that enhance service-learning experiences; and identify next steps they will take to strengthen their own teaching efforts.
