Date & Time
Wednesday, April 1, 2020, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Description
In service-learning, a strong community partnership is essential for ensuring the full participation of all stakeholders and achieving the core mission of service-learning. This workshop will propose a conceptual framework for Transformative Service-Learning Partnerships (TSLP) and invite participants to discuss how TSLP can catalyze opportunities for their own service-learning partnerships. We will present the core principles of TSLP and suggest a valid scale that evaluates its multiple dimensions. Participants will receive an opportunity to assess the strengths and limitations of their service-learning partnerships using the valid scale and share their findings with other participants. In this interactive discussion, they will be able to develop effective strategies to successfully develop service-learning partnerships within varying contexts.
