Date & Time
Tuesday, March 31, 2020, 11:15 AM - 12:15 PM

An intentional and engagement-focused action plan is essential for responding proactively when disaster strikes a community. This workshop will allow participants to learn about various campus partnerships and initiatives to institutionalize recovery efforts and how responses to disasters have changed over the years.

Learning outcomes:
  • Define engaged disaster response and reflect on ways to connect and adapt practices to the needs of their campus
  • Understand the difference between proactive and reactive responses to disasters
  • Begin to develop a response plan for their campus by brainstorming how to incorporate a plan into existing structures and programs
