Velina joined the Talloires Network in January 2025 and has been privileged to co-create frameworks for building the global For Youth, By Youth movement alongside 85 youth leaders. A doctoral student in Higher Education at UMass Boston, her research explores how nearby underprivileged communities experience campus redevelopment through public-private partnerships.
