Description

East Tennessee State University's Office of Community Engagement and regional United Way partners from Northeast Tennessee and Bristol, Virginia, will provide an overview of the Volunteer United partnership - a regional initiative for recruiting, tracking, and increasing volunteer capacity both on campus and in the community. This session will provide an overview of the partnership and its development, while also exploring the unique benefits and challenges of this university and community/region-wide approach. The session will also highlight the ways in which the Volunteer United partnership was elevated through the lens of Hurricane Helene. Participants will gain insight into this collaborative process and how the approach can enhance volunteer coordination and impact across multiple organizations and communities.
