This student-led service-learning initiative empowers young women to challenge beauty standards, strengthen resilience, and engage in civic learning. Grounded in the Beyond Resilience framework of Mind-Body-Spirit, the program combines body image resilience curriculum, mentorship, reflective writing, and courthouse-based civic engagement. Over eight weeks, participants join workshops on body image and healthy relationships while linking personal growth to community leadership. Enrichment activities, including lifesaving swim lessons and community partnerships, foster belonging and empowerment. This promising practice illustrates how student-driven leadership and reflection advance equity, compassion, and action. The session will share strategies for balancing sensitive assessment, building authentic partnerships, and creating safe spaces where underrepresented students move beyond resilience into advocacy and leadership.
