The Voyager Scholarship was created to help shape leaders who can bridge divides and help solve our biggest challenges. The program promotes the belief that exposure to new places and communities generates understanding, empathy, and cooperation, which equips the next generation to make meaningful change. The "Summer Voyage" component of the program requires students to self-design an immersive experience to deepen their exposure to new communities and gain clarity on their public service vision. This session will highlight the impact of putting students in the driver's seat of their own personal growth and professional development to design and execute a community-based learning opportunity where they leverage bridge building skills to deepen their impact within public service.
