This session presents five programs in the national network Community Learning Partnership (CLP). These programs at community colleges and public universities, like others in the network around the country, prepare students to pursue careers in community organizing/community development, working with people from their own communities to address issues they care about while preparing to serve as the next generation of staff in such organizations. Participants will learn about: * core CLP pedagogies, * curriculum designs leading to a certificate, major or other credential, and * ways that programs fund learn-and-earn opportunities to work in community organizing and development. Participants will then share similar initiatives of their own or explore how they might apply what they've heard in their own institutions.
