Description

Seminaries and divinity schools stand in a long tradition of forming students for spiritually grounded leadership in local communities as well as wider movements for justice, compassion, and social change. At the core of this educational model is a holistic, critical, and community-centered approach to teaching and learning, both in and beyond the classroom. This interactive session involves faculty and staff from a diverse set of graduate theological schools sharing best practices and innovative approaches that emerge from our work with contextual, community-engaged learning and partnerships. After a brief introduction, the session will involve a series of small-group discussions on a variety of approaches and practical tools that participants will contextualize for their own settings.
