A team of 23 Campus Compact Research Fellows have conduct a study to update the comptency model for Community Engagement Professionals. This project included a literature review and interviews across functional areas designated by CEPs in the field, including community partnerships, faculty-focused engagement, student-centered engagement, cross-functional practice, community affairs, social impact research, chief engagement leadership, place-based leadership, extension, and anchor and economic opportunity. In this session, fellows will share emerging themes from the literature, preliminary findings from interviews, and implications for scholar-practitioners. Participants will be invited to reflect on these insights and contribute perspectives from their own practice.
