In this session, members of the Campus Compact Innovation Cohort will share their definition of innovation and share practical strategies for building sustainable environments that empower practitioners to innovate- scalable to any campus or organization “kitchen.” Grounded in the Interaction Institute for Social Change’s R-P-R (Results, Process, Relationships) Triangle, this “recipe” for institutional change introduces new ingredients to familiar change models: challenging traditional notions of success, accepting – even embracing - risk, expanding the field of collaborators, and adjusting expectations throughout the process. Participants will hear examples of the practical applications of this approach, be invited to reflect on the “ingredients” that foster innovation on their own campuses, and have the opportunity to engage in discussion with presenters and one another.
