This roundtable is an opportunity for participants to share community engaged learning faculty development strategies. The presenters will discuss three strategies used at Seattle University to prepare faculty for place-based community engaged teaching. Neighborhood walks introduce faculty to community assets and to the history of the neighborhoods surrounding campus. Campus-community socials allow faculty and community partners to build relationships in an informal setting. During a four-session virtual or in-person workshop series, faculty learn about the principles and practices of community engaged learning. Participants will be invited to share how they prepare faculty to teach community engaged learning courses on their campuses.
