Knowledge-to-Action Workshop
Description

Join Lynn Hunnicutt, dean of the College of Business at Concordia University Chicago, and Jacqueline Pfeffer Merrill, director of the Council of Independent Colleges' Civic Learning and Free Expression Projects, for an interactive demonstration of the Pluralism Lab - a workshop that teaches skills to see, understand, and consider viewpoints different from their own. Concordia University Chicago has adapted these labs, developed at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and now supported through thepluralistlab.org, to serve its diverse student body. Following the demonstration, we will debrief the process and share lessons learned about adapting Pluralism Lab workshops to resonate with your campus mission. You'll leave with techniques for building community and resources for hosting a lab on your campus.
