Towson University's (TU) 2020-30 Strategic Plan "Leadership for the Public Good" names devotion to civic responsibility and community service as a core value. To further advance civic learning and community engagement at Towson University (TU), a cross-divisional effort is underway to foster a justice-centered community and civic engagement ecosystem. Presenters will share how they have worked to break down silos to develop three new programs at TU, including a community engagement training for faculty, a faculty fellowship, and a professional development huddle. These programs align faculty outreach and support efforts and further institutionalize community engagement across the institution. Attendees will learn about successful strategies and pathways and explore how they might utilize them at their institutions.
