As higher education faces polarization, distrust, and civic fatigue, the American Democracy Project (ADP) offers a model of hope and collective impact. This session will explore how ADP supports regional public universities embed civic learning into academic and co-curricular structures, foster dialogue across difference, and strengthen democracy through shared learning and collaboration. Presenters will share examples of forward-looking strategies used on their campuses and how they connect local efforts to the ADP national network dedicated to strengthening democracy. Participants will gain strategies for strengthening civic learning on their own campuses and have opportunities to share insights and challenges in an interactive dialogue about sustaining democratic hope and action in higher education.
