This session explores how the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Office of Engagement uses dashboards, visual analytics, and assessment tools to connect data and storytelling for a fuller picture of community engagement. Drawing from the 2024-25 Annual Report and ongoing procedures to collect and communicate the report, presenters will demonstrate how engagement data—spanning 8,000 students, 500 courses, and hundreds of partnerships—is brought to life through stories that humanize the numbers. Participants will identify existing/potential data points and companion stories from their contexts to explore how aligning metrics with meaning can inspire collective action and hope.
