Building on a successful pilot assessing civic and social responsibility outcomes of community-engaged learning, Michigan State University's Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) is launching the next phase of its intentional assessment strategy, measuring career-focused outcomes. This roundtable will share lessons learned from our pilot, highlight the frameworks and tools informing our approach, and invite participants to consider how community engagement can advance both civic and career readiness. Together, we will explore strategies for designing assessment plans that capture transferable skills, professional competencies, and the broader impacts of community-engaged experiences on students' career trajectories. Participants will leave with ideas for applying assessment practices within their own institutional contexts.
