This session will showcase how the University of Minnesota Twin Cities' Center for Community-Engaged Learning uses digital storytelling as a creative tool to deepen student learning and reflection in the Community Engagement Scholars Program capstone course. During the semester students reflect on their community engagement and life experiences, write a script and storyboard, compile media, and use editing software to create a final digital story project. Center for Community-Engaged Learning uses these videos to highlight student voices, share impact, and encourage participation in our programs. Participants will learn how to craft a digital story for themselves and explore how digital media and stories can be used to advance learning and market student programs and other engagement opportunities.
