Description

This session focuses on the development, use, and assessment of digital storytelling assignments in community-engaged and traditional courses. We will focus on these questions: 1) How can we align digital storytelling with institutional goals and values to maximize institutional support? 2) What resources are needed to develop (or expand) digital storytelling in courses? 3) How can storytelling enhance intellectual empathy and diversity of thought? and 4) What does a digital story course assignment look like?. We will provide a brief perspective on each of the four questions above and then facilitate an open discussion with attendees regarding their experiences, challenges, and opportunities. Session attendees will work on an action plan around the above four questions.
