This workshop offers a practical framework of proven service learning course development strategies and assessment tools used over the past 30 years including multi-state grant projects that are applicable to all institutional types. Essay questions, scoring rubric and surveys to assess students' service learning outcomes are shared as well as findings and reflections on the assessment process. Strategies for developing high-impact and sustainable service learning projects across disciplines are highlighted as well as a student engagement transcript that documents curricular and co-curricular activities which students provide to prospective employers and colleges. An interactive service learning course development activity is provided along with video testimonials from faculty and students. Take home proven tools and resources are provided.
