This session describes a partnership between The Village Network (TVN) and a Kenyon College Community Engaged Learning (CEL) course. Kenyon has an established structure for implementing CEL courses, and, in this case, students learning how to teach dance worked with youth in a residential counseling center for an entire semester. The "Brain-Compatible" pedagogical approach used in the class can be applied in any situation, but it is particularly important in working with trauma, as trauma is manifested in both mind and body. This partnership demonstrates the transformational power of movement and experiential learning. Conference participants will be introduced to the Brain Dance, and they will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of possible applications.
