Dialogue is a powerful tool for cultivating civic leadership among students, faculty, and staff by fostering empathy, bridging divides, and strengthening democracy. On increasingly polarized college campuses, constructive dialogue and disagreement foster engaged and inclusive communities. BridgeUSA supports student leaders at over 100 chapters across the country in bringing together thousands of community members through dialogue around controversial political and social topics. This workshop dives into the importance of integrating dialogue into campus culture and shares insights from BridgeUSA's successes in creating and supporting student-driven dialogue and civic leadership movements. Attendees will leave understanding how dialogue can benefit their campuses and with actionable tools for promoting dialogue and identifying key campus partners to support growing a culture of conversation.
