Did you ever wish you had plug and play, peer reviewed, ready to deploy, materials to use in your classes to promote democracy and civic engagement? We are your fairy godmothers! In this session, Civic Engagement & Voting Rights Teacher Scholars from the past 3 years of Mellon Foundation-funded work will discuss their strategies and the 200+ (and growing) open education materials they have created. The panel will highlight pedagogical connections across multiple disciplines so that workshop attendees will leave with actionable steps and options for using the materials in the repository. The Teacher Scholars will share their experiences in engaging students civically and share strategies for faculty to cultivate civically-engaged campus cultures while promoting student success in democracy-focused education.
