During this session, we will explore how community partners experience working with higher education institutions and how their perspectives can guide stronger partnerships. The TRUCEN Network Action Group is developing a landscape analysis of R1 institutions that examines how community partner perceptions inform and shape community-engaged scholarship and creative activity. Our goals are to 1) document current practices across R1 institutions and 2) identify strategies and a field-wide framework to effectively respond to community partners' feedback. Too often, faculty and community engagement offices measure impact independently, resulting in fragmented insights. This session will highlight the importance of elevating partner voices throughout the process to create more consistent, reciprocal, and meaningful relationships between universities and communities.
